Welcome to bZents

We specialise in high quality and innovative Entertainment and Education programmes for children, families, corporate groups at a wide variety of venues; from schools to fayres, from festivals to historical and corporate events. We have worked in every imaginable setting from convents to lighthouses and at all four compass points of the country.

Geoff Harris and Gayna Johnson, founder members of bZents, operated for many years under the name ‘Bozo and Zizi The Clowns’, but with the gradual addition of a huge variety of different entertainments bZents was created. We now offer not only traditional Clowning skills and Circus Skills Workshops but also History based drama performances, Storytelling projects, Environment shows, Ghostwalks and much much more.

Although most of our work is aimed at children or family groups we can also cater for adult Corporate Events. Our Circus Skills Workshops are particular favourites as part of Team Building days and our Stilt Walking characters are a great way of getting everyone’s attention at Promotions .

Browse through our website to see our exciting Education programmes or our wide variety of Entertainment. We also offer an entirely bespoke service – you come up with an idea and we develop shows and drama workshops to suit. If you have an up and coming event or would like to kick start a schools project then give us a call or click onto our Contact page and send us an Email and see what we can create just for you.

Our Educational Philosophy

‘Children learn more if they are enjoying the learning process’, or put more simply if children are having fun they will remember more, and to this end we have created a diverse range of Theatre-in-Education programmes which both entertain and inform.

Take a look at our Circus Skills Workshop programme or our Heroes Heroines and Hoods series which covers both legendary figures such as Robin Hood and historical characters such as Henry VIII. All our education performances and supporting workshops have been created to enhance the teaching of the National Curriculum.

Storytelling with a Difference

We at Bzents have developed an exciting and unique style of storytelling – the audience plays all the parts. As the story unfolds the storyteller chooses members of the audience to take on all the main character roles. This style of storytelling is ideally suited to schools and family festivals as it involves a huge number of participants. Currently you can choose from;

• ‘The Tales of Robin Hood’ – an excellent way to commence a literacy Myths and Legends project.

• ‘Don’t Mess with Bess!’- an exciting approach to the History of the longest serving Tudor Queen

• ‘Horatio’s Last Hurrah!’ – a salty tale of our great Hero and his battles against Napoleon’s France.

• ‘What-Ho Henry!’- an abridged version of the reign of this outrageous monarch

‘Our Storytelling brings Legend and History to life!'
